As Sales and Trading Team Leader for the Americas, Barbara looks after customer requirements in North and South America, leading her team to provide exceptional service for our customers in both continents.
Joining AJW as a Sales Executive in January 2000, Barbara worked her way up in the Sales, PBH, Commercial and Off Core Management departments, before finding her niche in customer service for our Sales and Trading team.
A proud Italian national, Barbara is fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish and holds a degree in Modern & Foreign Languages & Literature (English and Spanish) from Naples University Federico II, Italy.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, listening to music, and taking in the sights and sounds of the world by travelling to new destinations.

Fernando Sanchez joined AJW Group in 2024 as a Customer Service Executive – Repairs, based in our Mexico City office. In his role, Fernando focuses on supporting our customers in Latin America with the repair of their components in our MRO facility, AJW Technique.
With a background in aeronautical engineering, Fernando brings a comprehensive perspective to his work, enabling him to identify and capitalise on opportunities within the aerospace repairs field. His technical knowledge and customer-centric approach make him a valuable asset to the AJW team.
When he’s not working to expand the company’s presence in Latin America, Fernando enjoys playing basketball. The sport has not only fuelled his passion for teamwork but also helped him develop skills that translate seamlessly into his professional life.

Based in the regional office in Mexico City, Wilmer is the Managing Director of AJW Latin America. He leads the company’s business development efforts across Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on expanding AJW’s presence, nurturing customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet the region’s unique demands. He oversees strategic growth initiatives, ensuring operational alignment with customer needs, and fostering collaborations that drive long-term success for the business and its partners.
Wilmer brings over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, with a career spanning key leadership roles across the region. Before joining the Group, he served as Maintenance Planning & Control Production Manager and Contracts Negotiator at Avianca, where he gained extensive expertise in operational planning, contract management, and customer engagement.
With a bachelor’s degree in business and a strong background in airline operations, Wilmer has built his career on collaboration, trust, and understanding. His deep knowledge of the aviation landscape in Latin America and his ability to navigate the region’s unique economic and operational challenges have been instrumental in driving success for both customers and AJW.
