The primary function of Strategic Operations is to improve the operational efficiency of AJW.
To achieve this, we are constantly looking for opportunities to ensure that our processes, procedures, structures and resources are set up correctly and in the best possible way so that AJW can deliver exceptional customer service and ensure we achieve our strategic objectives.
To enable this, Strategic Operations will plan, lead and co-ordinate projects across the whole organisation. This can include any aspect of the business and is critical in promoting on-going consideration of what we can do better than the competition.
Following the successful introduction of AJW Project Management training in 2013, the department is acting to support and co-ordinate initiatives being identified across the Company.
A further function of this department is to implement new contracts. When contracted services are due to be provided by AJW, Strategic Operations act as the focal point for the customer. We assist the relevant areas of AJW to collaborate and ensure that the services we are contracted to provide are delivered as seamlessly as possible from day one. The smooth implementation process is a vital part of the strategic objectives of AJW; keeping the customer happy, while enhancing our reputation for excelling at service delivery, is our number one priority.
Strategic Operations engages various departments in cross-functional initiatives and revised strategies, combining resources in the best way, maintaining our reputation for flexibility, quality and delivery. Experience in Aviation, Programme and Project Leadership, Customer Service and Contract Management are all useful. It is also necessary to be able to engage others, understand the detail of processes, and be determined to identify and implement carefully considered change.
